Purchase SSL Certificate and get FREE HackerGuardian Subscription for One Full Year
HackerGuardian for Everyone –Comodo’s Exclusive One Time Offer
JERSEY CITY, NJ, September 14, 2010 – Comodo, a leading Internet security organization, announced today that it is offering a FREE annual subscription to HackerGuardian with every SSL certificate purchase, allowing firms to easily meet PCI vulnerability scanning requirements.
Businesses that receive transmit, or store credit card data must perform a network vulnerability scan every quarter. Scanning identifies vulnerabilities that could be exploited by hackers to steal confidential customer information. Comodo CA Ltd. is a PCI Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV). HackerGuardian’s Web-based portal features a variety of easy to use wizards that simplify the scanning and report generation processes. This allows businesses to meet PCI requirements in less time – leaving them more time for their core businesses.
“We are delighted to be able to offer our customers this FREE HackerGuardian service for one year,” said Melih Abdulhayoglu, Comodo CEO and chief security architect.”This powerful combination of SSL and HackerGuardian helps businesses to address the mandatory nature of PCI compliance and to meet those requirements.”
Merchants must be PCI compliant in order to accept credit cards. The data security standards set by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) are mandatory requirements for anyone who accepts, processes or stores credit card data. The HackerGuardian PCI scanning tool scans externally facing IPs and generates reports detailing any vulnerability found. It also supplies the merchant with the information needed to fix any vulnerability issues. All necessary documentation that a merchant is required to send to their acquiring bank to validate quarterly PCI compliance is included with the HackerGuardian solution.

This offer, effective immediately, applies to all Comodo SSL certificates except for trial certificates.
